NEW YORK – According to reports from Europe, US midfielder Michael Bradley is believed to be on the move to Turkish club Galatasaray in a deal that could materialize just days before the close of the January transfer window in Europe.
Aachener Zeitung and The Associated Press say that Bradley’s German club, Borussia Mönchengladbach, have settled on an agreement with Galatasaray and that it’s now up to Bradley to work out personal details with the club.
"There is an offer for him which the club could live with and which is acceptable," Borussia Mönchengladbach director Max Eberl told Aachener Zeitung on Friday. "Now it's up to Michael to sort his things out and reach an agreement with the club."
In the meantime, the Bundesliga club has acquired another holding midfielder, 28-year-old Michael Fink, on loan from Besiktas.
Bradley’s contract at 'Gladbach runs until 2012. He joined the German side in 2008 from Dutch side Heerenveen for a transfer fee that was reported to be 2.5 million euros.
The World Cup midfielder was rumored to be headed to English Premier side Sunderland, but the Black Cats may have filled their central midfield needs with the acquisition of Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari.
