CHICAGO FIRE VS. SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES ON SATURDAY
The Fire (6-5-1, 19 pts.) return from a two-game away stint to host the San Jose Earthquakes (3-8-2, 11 pts.) at TOYOTA PARK on Saturday, June 28. Kickoff for the match is set for 7:30 p.m. CT. The game is the second of two regular season meetings between the teams. The Fire are looking to break a 3-game losing streak, while San Jose plays their third of four consecutive road games, dropping their last 3-1 at D.C United (6/22) and drawing 0-0 at Real Salt Lake (6/18). Saturday's game will be televised by My50 Chicago, and can be heard on Chicagoland radio station WRTO 1200-AM (Spanish).
The Fire beat the Earthquakes 1-0 on 4/12 in front of 20,038 fans in San Jose's home opener at McAfee Coliseum. Fire forward Chad Barrett tallied the game-winning goal while Fire goalkeeper Jon Bush recorded eight saves in his second shutout of the season. The Fire lead the all-time series 10-6-7, including a 6-1-4 mark in home games. The teams have tied seven of the last 14 games.

SATURDAY NIGHT IS 70'S NIGHT AT TOYOTA PARK
Chicago Fire Soccer presents "70's Night at TOYOTA PARK" this Saturday during the Fire - Earthquakes game. Fans are encouraged to dress in their best 70's-era costume and register in the northeast concourse to win prizes, including an Xbox 360 and Dance, Dance Revolution game (courtesy of Best Buy), Fire tickets and autographed merchandise. The evening will include 70's music, as well as 70's-era movie and TV clips played throughout the event. A dance floor at FireFest (complete with disco ball) will feature 70's disco-funk band Libido Funk Circus, located just inside Gate B. At halftime, 10 lucky fans will participate in a "Freeze Dance" competition, with the winners taking home a Bridgeview Bank/Chicago Fire prize pack.
BARRETT, ROLFE, AND THORRINGTON HELP U.S. TO WORLD CUP QUALIFYING 1-0 WIN OVER BARBADOS
Of the three substitutions allowed in World Cup Qualifying, U.S Men's National Team head coach Bob Bradley used all of them to bring Fire players off the bench as Chad Barrett (86'), Chris Rolfe (66'), and John Thorrington (79') helped the team to a 1-0 win at Barbados Sunday. Barrett earned his first "cap" with the senior team, while Thorrington got his second and Rolfe his eighth. With the win, the U.S. captured the two-game, aggregate goal series by a 9-0 margin, advancing to the Semifinal Round of qualifying for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. All three are available for selection for Saturday's game versus San Jose.
SEGARES HELPS COSTA RICA ADVANCE PAST GRENADA IN 3-0 WIN
Fire defender Gonzalo Segares started and played the full 90 minutes for Costa Rica in a 3-0 home win over Grenada in their CONCACAF second round qualifying second leg on Saturday. Costa Rica advanced to Round Three by winning the series 5-2 after a 2-2 away draw in the first leg. Segares has re-joined Fire and will be available for selection for Saturday's match.

Chicago's opponent for the match will be determined on Tuesday, June 24 when the Cleveland City Stars (USL2) play at the Minnesota Thunder (USL1). These clubs play in the United Soccer League with USL1 being the league's first division and USL2 its second division. These leagues are considered the second and third tier of professional soccer in the United States respectively.
