World Cup: Orlando City signing Kaka predicts US national team win over Belgium
Kaka might have just arrived in the United States, but he's already caught US national team fever.
Orlando City SC's new Designated Player signing has been watching the exploits of CONCACAF and South American teams at the 2014 World Cup in his native Brazil, and he believes the USMNT will continue that pattern with a victory over Belgium in Tuesday's Round of 16 clash in Salvador.
"I've told everyone my prediction is a 2-1 win for the US," Kaka told FutbolMLS.com on Tuesday. "This World Cup has been special because I think all the teams from the Americas are surprising everyone."
The former AC Milan and Real Madrid playmaker, FIFA's World Player of the Year in 2002, has been mightily impressed by the size and passion of the US supporters at the World Cup and said the sport's growing profile in the states was a major factor in his decision to join OCSC.
"I think MLS is growing very fast," he said at his introductory press conference. "I know Americans are strongly supporting their team in the cup, but they can also support their local clubs."
