Portland Timbers fans are camping out for Sunday's Seattle Sounders showdown — on Thursday | SIDELINE
We know what the Timbers Army does on gameday.
They bring Providence Park, home of their Portland Timbers, to life. They're loud, they're passionate and they don't stop singing for 90 minutes.
What many might not know, though, is what many of the Timbers Army's over-3,500 paid members are up to during the week while they await the Timbers' next home match.
Sure, there are hundreds, or even thousands, of man hours spent designing and painting the massive tifo (above video) adorning the north end of the stadium just before kickoff.
This week, though, they're also camping.
No, not while surrounded by the beautiful Oregon wilderness, but along the sidewalks outside of Providence Park, hoping to land their desired
seat standing spot for Sunday's Cascadia Cup showdown with the hated Seattle Sounders (5 pm ET, ESPN2/ESPN Deportes).
So the TA line for Sun has already started?! Really??? There is devotion but 3+ days on SW Morrison....
