Seattle Sounders fans arrive in droves for first preseason training | THE SIDELINE

It has to be the coffee, right?

When the Seattle Sounders opened the first day of preseason camp on a soggy day in Tukwila on Saturday, a large group of supporters not only showed up at the club’s training facility, but they brought their flags and their full-throated voices to usher in a new season.

Now that’s dedication.

Of course there was plenty to see on Saturday if you could peer through the fog – the team’s new crop of rookies, new forward Kenny Cooper and returning star Obafemi Martins – but maybe the most encouraging site for the club is that the fans simply aren’t going anywhere.
