Trash talk: Did Scotland just take a dig at USMNT & American soccer on their official site? | SIDELINE
The Scottish Football Association (SFA) are having a bit of a laugh at our expense, and they're using one of our more infamous figures to continue the portrayal of Americans as soccer neanderthals.
USA Soccer Guy. His schtick is funny. Kind of. Or, at least it was for a while. I think.
"Michael Bradley, the main reason Roma are top of Serious A in Italy right now, will also be doing some great kicks," he writes in his piece for ScottishFA.co.uk.
Whatever your feelings on USA Soccer Guy, your feelings toward the SFA should go something like this: We're sorry we beat you 5-1 last year, and we're also sorry that you're still bitter about it.
We are sure that your redemption will be had, Scotland.
This is on the Scottish website. There will be no redemption. We stomped them 5-1 last year and we'll do it again pic.twitter.com/ZM3WyDL4CU

Next summer will mark 16 and 18 years since Scotland's last World Cup and European Championship apperances, respectively. The UK nation has won as many World Cup games (three) in 36 years as the USMNT has in their past three — consecutive — World Cup appearances.
In this clash (Friday, 3 pm ET, ESPN2/UniMas) of two national teams and soccer nations heading in completely opposite directions since roughly 1982, expect much of the same as we saw last year — monumental advantage, USA.
"Scotland are filled with players who are excellent buys for high Championship or low Premier League teams in Football Manager that never actually get that good in real life."
