New York City FC unveil cutting-edge new training facility

New York City FC have gotten off to a flying start in 2018, and it’s fair to say they’re committed to staying on top in the future.

On Tuesday, the fourth-year MLS club opened the doors of a new new training facility called the Etihad City Football Academy, located in Orangeburg, NY.

Among other things, the facility includes staff office space with an open floor plan and New York City imagery; a dining room with nutritious meals prepared daily by an onsite chef specialist; a circular dressing room with 32 lockers for all first-team players; an aquatic recovery area, gym, a subway-style designed boot room, massage and medical treatment rooms, and a team meeting room; and an outdoor fitness area on a FIFA approved synthetic training surface that is usable year-round.
