Three MLS teams to participate in Under-13 CONCACAF Champions League

The three MLS clubs that will send teams to participate in the Under-13 CONCACAF Champions League learned their groups for the competition on Wednesday.


The Chicago Fire U-13s and Vancouver Whitecaps U-13s were both drawn into Group D with Costa Rican club Herediano and Mexican side Fuerza Naranja. Toronto FC’s U-13 team was placed into Group B with Nicaragua’s Real Esteli, El Salvador’s Santa Ana and Mexico’s Universidad Cantera Norte.


The 2017 U-13 CCL will be held from Aug. 5-12 in Toluca, Mexico. Sixteen teams will participate in the tournament, up from eight that competed in the first two editions of the U-13 CCL.
