According to Goal's Ives Galarcep, Minnesota United have completed a deal to acquire Swiss Super League right back Jerome Thiesson. On a related note, ESPN's Jeff Carlisle writes about how MLS clubs have shifted the balance of how the spend on players. Whereas teams formerly reserved their main expenditures for attackers, they are now spending more to build their back lines. The agent for longtime Dynamo Kiev and Ukraine right-sider Oleg Gusev claims that his client is in talks with multiple MLS clubs (in Russian). He also noted that, though he also has suitors in Asia and Europe, a move to America is his top priority.
