What were the best single-game performances in 2016?

The 2016 season ended with the Seattle Sounders lifting the Philip F. Anschutz trophy after not registering a single shot on target.


But the regular season did not lack for outstanding performances. We saw nine different players score hat tricks, with Toronto FC's Sebastian Giovinco getting two by himself.


D.C. United's Luciano Acosta tallied three assists in a game against the Chicago Fire, the most of any player in a game this season.
