The Seattle Sounders didn’t claim the Cascadia Cup this year, but the club’s supporters couldn’t resist getting in a dig at their Pacific Northwest rivals Portland and Vancouver – neither of whom made the playoffs – ahead of Seattle’s Knockout Round win against Kansas City on Thursday.
Seattle’s Emerald City Supporters unveiled a tifo featuring a Sounders-themed phoenix rising past the Whitecaps and Timbers and above the red line before their club’s 1-0 win against SKC at CenturyLink Field.
ECS will have another shot at showing their tifo skills on Sunday, when the Sounders host FC Dallas in the first leg of their Western Conference semifinal series (9:30 pm ET; FS1 in the US, TSN2 in Canada).
