Nicolas Lodeiro, Jordan Morris to return to Sounders for Wednesday's game

The Seattle Sounders have made an incredible run to get above the red line over the last month and they got some more good news this week.

Nicolas Lodeiro and Jordan Morris are expected to return to the club for their game on Wednesday against the Houston Dynamo (10:30 pm ET; MLS LIVE), after playing for their national teams.

Lodeiro was with the Uruguayan national team as they are playing World Cup qualifiers. He scored a goal in their 3-0 win against Venezuela on Thursday but will not feature in their game against Colombia on Tuesday, as he will return to Seattle on Monday.

Morris played 30 minutes for the US national team on Friday against Cuba, but head coach Brian Schmetzer expects the 21-year-old to return to the Sounders. He will not play for the US on Tuesday when they face New Zealand at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C (8 pm ET; ESPN/UniMás).

After four consecutive wins, the Sounders sit in fifth place in the Western Conference with 44 points and a game in hand on the rest of the teams vying for the playoffs. They have a 97 percent chance to make the playoffs according to ESPN's Soccer Power Index. They will be gunning to move ahead of Real Salt Lake into the No. 4 seed, as they try to lock up a home game in the Knockout Round.
