What's Landon Donovan's schedule for the rest of the 2016 regular season?

With Landon Donovan back in MLS with the LA Galaxy following his shock announcement on Thursday that he was coming out of retirement, attention turns to why he's back: The games.

The Galaxy look pretty well set to be headed for the MLS Cup Playoffs, but before we find out for sure there are six more regular season games this year for LA.

Here are the Galaxy's remaining MLS regular season games this season:

Sept. 11 - vs. Orlando City SC (7 pm ET, FS1 | MLS LIVE in Canada)

The first chance to see Donovan back in action will be on Sunday, as the Galaxy and another team on short rest following a midweek game, Orlando City, clash at StubHub Center in front of a national TV audience on FS1. Donovan is available for selection for the game, but the question will be if he'll see any playing time -- but that midweek game may force Bruce Arena's hand and give Donovan some minutes off the bench.

Sept. 18 - at Sporting KC (2 pm ET, FOX, FOX Sports Go | MLS LIVE in Canada)

Following that, there's another Sunday clash on national television, this time at Children's Mercy Park against Sporting Kansas City. You know Sporting will want to rain on Donovan's parade, but will he get the last laugh?

Sept. 25 - vs. Seattle Sounders (4 pm ET, ESPN | MLS LIVE in Canada)

The Soccer Sunday train rolls on, with the Galaxy hosting Seattle in another nationally televised game. Given the pitched battles these teams have had over the years and the Sounders' desperate climb towards the playoff spots, this game should be a can't-miss occasion.

Oct. 1 - at FC Dallas (9 pm ET, MLS LIVE)

As the regular season enters its final month, a chill may be in the air, and the Galaxy will take on the current Supporters' Shield frontrunners in Dallas. Assuming his quest for fitness is on track, Donovan may really be finding some form at this point.

Oct. 16 - at Houston Dynamo (5 pm ET, MLS LIVE)

The business end of the season is really here, and the Western Conference kicks off simultaneously in the penultimate weekend. The Galaxy have had considerable success against the Dynamo this year, so this could be a solid tune-up for the upcoming playoffs.

Oct. 23 - vs. FC Dallas (4 pm ET, MLS LIVE)

And the regular season concludes with another massive finale day of the regular season, with another tough date for the Galaxy against FC Dallas. Will Dallas be celebrating a major trophy following this game, or will the Galaxy deliver a statement win just before the playoffs start? It will be another must-watch showdown.
