The MLS Disciplinary Committee on Wednesday fined Portland Timbers midfielder Lucas Melano for actions taken during Week 26 of the 2016 MLS regular season.

The Disciplinary Committee fined Portland's Lucas Melano after finding him to be in violation of the league's policy regarding hands to the face, head or neck of an opponent in the 59th minute of the Timbers' match against FC Dallas on September 3. Melano will be eligible to play in Portland's home game against Real Salt Lake on Saturday (10:30 pm ET; MLS LIVE).
