Bruce Arena joins exclusive club with 200th win in Major League Soccer

Bruce Arena - close-up

There is little doubt that Bruce Arena is one of the best coaches in American soccer history. On Saturday night he joined an exclusive club in Major League Soccer history.

Arena led the LA Galaxy to a 2-1 win against Columbus Crew SC, the former US national team head coach captured his 200th win in MLS. He is only the second coach in MLS's history to reach that mark, with former LA, Columbus and Seattle Sounders head coach Sigi Schmid being the other.

Schmid has 228 wins in his MLS career so Arena still has some work to do if he wants to catch the former UCLA head coach. Arena does have an advantage over Schmid in terms of winning percentage, as he has won over 49 percent of his MLS games compared to Schmid's percentage of 45 percent.
