Colorado Rapids goalkeeper Tim Howard and his Middlesbrough counterpart Brad Guzan will both get a chance to start in goal during the USA's two CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers on Friday and Tuesday.

Jurgen Klinsmann confirmed the goalkeeper platoon situation from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, where the USA are preparing for a crucial Friday match against the Vincy Heat (3:30 pm ET on beIN Sports):

In addition, Klinsmann named three other players who will feature in Friday's match, including two MLS players:

Altidore was previously named as team captain in the absence of regular skipper and Toronto FC teammate Michael Bradley, who is suspended for Friday's match along with Mexico-based defender Michael Orozco.

A victory by the USA on Friday and a win by Trinidad & Tobago over Guatemala will see both the Americans and T&T advance from Group C into the final round of CONCACAF qualifying, also known as the Hexagonal.

If both results don't materialize on Friday, the USA will be playing for a spot in the Hex on Tuesday night in Jacksonville against Group C leaders Trinidad & Tobago (8 pm ET on FS1, UniMas and UDN).
