Report: US international Christian Pulisic to stay put at Borussia Dortmund

Christian Pulisic - United States national team - Celebrates first goal

US national team wunderkind Christian Pulisic broke out on the scene earlier this year with German giants Borussia Dortmund.

And the Bundesliga club is not willing to part ways with the teenager, despite considerable interest.

Grant Wahl reported at SI.com on Wednesday that Pulisic, the subject of transfer interest from Liverpool (currently coached by former Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp) and Stoke City in recent weeks, will not be transferred or loaned out during the current window, which closes on Wednesday.

Pulisic, who is with the US national team at the moment for two upcoming CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers against St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Trinidad & Tobago, emerged from Dortmund's youth ranks in the second half of the 2015-16 season, getting his break under head coach Thomas Tuchel and scoring two goals in nine appearances to date for the first team. But with several new additions joining the team for the new season, there was speculation the youngster would be on the move.

In addition to being the youngest foreign player to score in the Bundesliga, the 17-year-old, who was part of the USMNT roster for the Copa America Centenario, became the youngest US national team scorer in the modern era in a pre-Copa friendly.
