New club, new division, same Bobby Wood.
The US national team striker made his debut for Bundesliga club Hamburg on Saturday and picked up right where he left off last season with second-division side Union Berlin, firing home a long-range rocket in a 1-1 draw versus Ingolstadt.
Wood, 23, scored 17 goals last year for Union Berlin before completing a summer transfer to Hamburg.
Wood presumably will be part of the US squad called in for two upcoming World Cup qualifiers against St. Vincent & Grenadines (Sept 2) and Trinidad & Tobago (Sept 6).
