Robbie Keane marks five-year anniversary of signing with LA Galaxy

Monday marks the fifth anniversary of Robbie Keane's signing by the Los Angeles Galaxy

Talk about "Many Happy Returns," huh?

Keane has certainly put his stamp on MLS since signing with the Galaxy from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur on Aug. 15. 2011.

The longtime Ireland captain has scored 101 goals for the Galaxy across all competitions. Of those, 27 have been match-winners – including the goal that delivered Los Angeles' most recent MLS Cup championship in 2014. When he scores, the Galaxy are 54-8-9 across all competitions, and they have won three MLS Cups and one Supporters' Shield over the course of his tenure at StubHub Center.

The double-MVP of 2014 – for both the regular season and the MLS Cup title match – is still a major contributor for both club and country at age 36. He has seven goals and two assists in league play so far this season, despite international duties at the 2016 European championships that have limited him to 12 MLS outings this year.
