Arsenal host party, MLS Homegrown Team play and more as All-Star Game nears

All-Star - 2016 - Wed recap thumbnail

The AT&T MLS All-Star Game moved one step closer to taking center stage on Wednesday, and you could definitely tell as the competitive juices were on display all over San Jose.

You need to look no further than the celebration that Arsenal defensive midfielder Francis Coquelin had after scoring a stoppage-time equalizer in FIFA16.

The competition was more intense at the 2016 Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game, where the MLS Homegrown Team fell, 2-0, to Mexico's Under-20 National Team despite this spectacular save from FC Dallas' Jesse Gonzalez.

Wednesday was plenty busy for the Gunners, too. They had their two practices to prepare for Thursday's match vs. the MLS All-Stars, tested new technology, and attended a fan party.

There was another superb stop came during one of their two training sessions, too.

New York derby foes Sacha Kljestan and Andrea Pirlo might have been too busy practicing with the MLS All-Stars to attend the Arsenal session, but there was some time for them to chat during their training session (There is also some cool Gio-on-Gio action going on in the background with Giovani dos Santos and Sebastian Giovinco).
