With Arsenal's 2-1 victory over the MLS All-Stars, they became only the second English Premier League club to hang a loss on the MLS squad, following Manchester United's back-to-back victories in the 2010 and 2011 All-Star Games. They couldn't help but use the opportunity to tweak rivals Tottenham Hotspur, whom the MLS All-Stars defeated last year by that same 2-1 margin.
