Orlando City SC loan Bryan Rochez to Honduran club Real CD Espana

Bryan Rochez - Orlando City - celebration

He has yet to appear in a game for Orlando City SC this season and now Bryan Rochez is heading back to his home country.

Orlando City announced that they have agreed to a six-month loan of Rochez to his former club Honduran side Real C.D. Espana.

“We believe that this will be a good opportunity for Bryan to receive valuable minutes and continue his development. He had plenty of success with Real C.D. Espana prior to joining us and we hope he can pick up where he left off,” Assistant General Manager Niki Budalic said.

Rochez, 21, has spent the 2016 season on loan with Orlando City B, the Club’s United Soccer League (USL) affiliate. The Honduran has two goals and an assist in 10 appearances.

Rochez was one of the Club’s first three Designated Player signings ahead of its inaugural 2015 MLS season. The attacker made 16 appearances for the Lions in 2015 and scored all three of his goals in consecutive games, including City’s late game-winner in Chicago on Septembrer 19. Rochez will continue to hold a Designated Player slot while on loan.

The Tegucigalpa native joined Orlando City after scoring 29 goals in 59 appearances for Real Espana in the Honduran First Division from 2012-2014. He has also made six appearances for the Honduran national team and has scored 11 goals in 13 appearances for the Honduran U17 and U20 sides.
