The New England Revolution and Chicago Fire meet for a second time this season in a critical Eastern Conference clash for both clubs when they face off Saturday evening at Gillette Stadium. The Revolution sit right on the red line in the conference, returning home off of a scoreless draw at Real Salt Lake last weekend. The Fire sit at the foot of the divisional standings, six points further back, after seeing their record road winless and losing slides extended in a 3-1 defeat at FC Dallas last weekend.

  • The Revolution snapped a two-game road losing run, despite being shut out at the attacking end for a third time in five games, reaching a scoreless result with Real Salt Lake on Saturday evening at Rio Tinto Stadium.
  • The Fire fell to a club-record seventh consecutive defeat on their travels, dropping a 3-1 decision at FC Dallas on Saturday evening at Toyota Stadium. The Fireā€™s MLS-record road winless streak, dating back to July 2014, is now at 34 games.
