Crew SC owner Anthony Precourt calls latest loss "low point of season"

It's been a tough 2016 season so far for Columbus Crew SC, there's no question, but owner Anthony Precourt is not yet throwing in the towel.

The 2015 MLS Cup finalists have struggled to find the high-flying form that suited them so well last season, and the May trade of last year's leading scorer, Kei Kamara, also shook up the team.

Sitting in ninth place in the Eastern Conference, six points out of a playoff spot after losing 3-1 to New England over the weekend, with Kamara scoring against his former side, Precourt took to Twitter, as he's done periodically this season, to discuss the team's struggles.

Precourt finished up his tweeted comments with a note of optimism, hoping to turn the page on a run of 10 league games with just one victory.

Columbus have a short turnaround before their next game, on Wednesday hosting Toronto FC in a Trillium Cup clash (7 pm ET, TSN, RDS2, MLS LIVE).
