The MLS All-Star Fan XI, the players chosen by fan voting to be on the roster for the 2016 AT&T MLS All-Star game against Arsenal FC on July 28 in San Jose, will be unveiled Saturday on ESPN and ESPN Deportes during halftime of the network’s broadcast of the Seattle Sounders vs. LA Galaxy match (3 pm ET).

Ten players – one goalkeeper, three defenders, four midfielders and two forwards – were chosen by fan vote from a pool of 160 players nominated by members of the media. The 11th player, a forward, was determined by the AT&T/EA Sports “More than a Vote’’ challenge, where fans “voted’’ by having the player score goals in EA SPORTS FIFA 16. The forward with the most goals – with each goal counting as one vote – won the final spot.

The Fan XI will not necessarily be the starting lineup for the All-Star Game – that will be selected by All-Star head coach Dominic Kinnear of the San Jose Earthquakes. The rest of the game-day roster, as selected by Kinnear, will be revealed on July 17.

The MLS All-Star game will be played at Avaya Stadium in San Jose, Calif., on Thursday, July 28, beginning at 7:30 pm ET. The match will be broadcast live in North America on ESPN, UniMás, UDN, TSN2 and RDS.
