If you hadn't heard, New York City FC finally broke their derby duck on Sunday afternoon, winning their first #NYDerby thanks to a 2-0 decision over the New York Red Bulls.

After nearly a season and a half coming up short against their rivals from across the Hudson ā€“ including a 7-0 humiliation at the hands of the Red Bulls on May 21 ā€“ you could tell just how much this win meant to NYCFC, judging from their huge smiles and fist pumps in this postgame photo:

It's been a rollercoaster of a season so far for City, who only earned one home win from their first nine tries, but they've now put together three straight wins to go top of the Eastern Conference.

Combine that with the fact that Frank Lampard, Andrea Pirlo and David Villa are now playing regularly, as well as Jack Harrison's emergence as one of the league's top rookies, and fans in the Bronx have every reason to think there could be more of these celebrations in the near future.
