Philadelphia's Earnie Stewart talks Union, US with the Men in Blazers

Earnie Stewart has had a wonderful first six months as Philadelphia Union sporting director, making several key acquisitions this offseason to help the club to their current position atop the Eastern Conference standings.

Stewart, who registered 101 career US national team appearances and played at the 1994, 1998 and 2002 World Cups, sat down with the Men in Blazers this week to talk about his first few months with the Union and to share his thoughts on the state of the USMNT and their recent run at the Copa America.

Stewart, who also joined MiB’s Roger Bennett for an extended podcast interview, was illuminating during the interview, particularly when talking about the USMNT. You can check out his appearance starting at the 13:15-minute mark of the above video.
