Julian Green has dropped off the radar a bit since his unlikely heroics in the 2014 World Cup. But rest assured, the US international is still grinding away at Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern Munich.

The German-American winger shared an inside perspective on his “eventful” 2015/16 season in a personal letter to Goal.com readers earlier this month, providing a glimpse of life for a rising prospect in one of the world's biggest clubs, from preseason in Shanghai to winter camp in Doha and beyond.

Green, who marked his 21st birthday on June 6, hasn't quite locked down a regular place in Bayern's senior squad, having focused on earning regular minutes with the reserve team. But he did earn a start in UEFA Champions League action at Dinamo Zagreb, a 2-0 victory for the Bavarian side, and got a call-up from Jurgen Klinsmann to join the US national team for the “transition camp” that helped begin preparations for Copa America Centenario.

Who are Green's closest friends in US camp? Which band was the surprise guest at Bayern's Bundesliga trophy celebration and which player on the team partied the hardest? Read Green's letter to find out.
