The Canada Soccer Association on Friday announced a 24-man squad for two upcoming international friendlies to be played in Austria against Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
The list features four MLS players: Tesho Akindele (FC Dallas), Will Johnson (Toronto FC), Cyle Larin (Orlando City SC) and Karl Ouimette (New York Red Bulls).
Canada face Azerbaijan, ranked No. 133 in the world, on Friday, June 3 (1 pm ET) and then take on No. 66-ranked Uzbekistan on Tuesday, June 7 (10 am ET) with both matches streamed on CanadaSoccer.com and YouTube.com.
Manager Benito Floro is preparing his squad for two critical FIFA World Cup qualifiers in September away to Honduras (Sept. 2) and at home vs. El Salvador (Sept. 6 at BC Place).
One notable absence on the June roster is that of veteran Atiba Hutchinson, who was left home to rest during the offseason "and address a long-standing minor injury after leading the Turkish Süper Lig in minutes played en route to a first-place finish in the league standings."
