DICK'S SPORTING GOODS PARK, Commerce City, Colorado
MAY 28, 2016 (WEEK 28, MLS GAME #129)
9 pm ET (Altitude, The Comcast Network, MLS LIVE)

A massive top-of-the-table clash highlights the final MLS weekend before the Copa AmƩrica break when the Western Conference-leading Colorado Rapids face Eastern Conference leaders Philadelphia Union on Saturday evening at Dickƭs Sporting Goods Park. The Rapids return home - where they are perfect this season - after extending their undefeated streak to eight games in a 1-0 win at Seattle Sounders FC last Saturday. Union extended their undefeated run to six matches at midweek, opening their road trip with a 2-2 draw at Orlando City SC.

  • The Rapids extended their undefeated run to eight games ā€“ with a sixth win in that time ā€“ Axel Sjoberg netting his first professional goal for the only marker in the game in their win against Seattle Sounders FC on Saturday evening. The streak is one game shy of the club-record unbeaten run, set on two occasions.
  • The teams have reached draws in their last two meetings, both in Chester, a scoreless result last March 7 in their only meeting of 2015, and a wild 3-3 draw in 2014. Union have still never defeated Colorado on their home ground, with three draws and two losses all-time in Chester.
  • The home team has won just once in eight meetings all-time in the series ā€“ a 4-1 Rapids victory Aug. 29, 2010 at Dickā€™s Sporting Goods Park. The road team has won three times, including a 2-1 Union in 2013 in the last meeting in Commerce City
