DeAndre Yedlin's loan stint with Sunderland might have come to a close, but his time with the English Premier League club might not be over just yet.

Sunderland are reportedly set to make Yedlin's club, Tottenham, a $2.89 million offer to acquire Yedlin on a permanent basis. Yedlin joined the Black Cats back in September via a season-long loan from Spurs, and made 23 league appearances to help Sunderland avoid relegation.

The 22-year-old speedster, who is with the US national team right now, arrived at Tottenham back in January 2015. He has found it tough to see the field there on a consistent basis and has played in just one league game, which came back in April of last year.

Sunderland finished two points above the drop zone and in 17th place this season while Tottenham took third and earned a spot in the 2016-17 UEFA Champions League.
