Sueño MLS finalists to be revealed Sunday on "Republica Deportiva"

The hunt for the next SueƱo MLS champion enters its final stage on Sunday.

The three finalists for SueƱo MLS 2016 have been selected from the national final that took place in Carson, California this week, and are set to be revealed on Univision's ā€œRepublica Deportivaā€ show on Sunday afternoon (3 pm ET), along with the winner of the Allstate ā€œGood Handsā€ top goalkeeper, the El Portero Allstate award.

Now in its 10th season, SueƱo MLS is a nationally-televised talent search which rewards the best field player and the best goalkeeper with a spot on an MLS academy team. After tryouts in Portland, New Jersey and Los Angeles, the top goalkeeper and best five field players from each of those three markets advanced to the National Finals, where they received special instruction and mentoring from international stars.

The ultimate winner of SueƱo MLS 2016 will be announced live on ā€œRepublica Deportivaā€ on May 22 (also at 3 pm ET).

Over 15,000 young players have participated in SueƱo MLS since its inception in 2007 and the program has discovered standouts like 2015 MLS Cup champion Jorge VillafaƱa, Monterrey forward Gabriel Funes Mori and his brother, Everton FC defender Ramiro Funes Mori.
