Surprise! Galaxy present 7-year-old fan with honorary contract on "Ellen"

The La Galaxy have signed their newest player … a 7-year-old.

Wednesday on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” a bunch of Galaxy players surprised young soccer fan Kai Langer with an honorary contract and a mini-jersey.

“As you know, the Galaxy are always looking for big, big stars,” Robbie Keane said before presenting him with his contract in front of Ellen’s live studio audience. “And there’s no one bigger than Kai.”

Langer, a recurring favorite on Ellen’s show who first rose to Internet fame singing Bruno Mars as a 4-year-old, recently went to a Galaxy game in Houston, walking out onto the field with Gyasi Zardes, who previously surprised him on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

Kai also got Zardes' jersey after the game -- which he learned was “really wet” -- and was disappointed to find out the “suite” he sat in wasn’t a place they give out candy.

Perhaps this contract made up for it.

You can watch young Kai talk about going to the Galaxy game starting at the 2:05 mark above and Galaxy players come out to greet him at around the 5:00 mark.
