A pair of clubs looking to move into the upper half of their respective conferences meet in an intersectional matchup when the New England Revolution entertain the Portland Timbers on Wednesday evening at Gillette Stadium. The Revolution saw their four-game undefeated run put to an end last weekend, falling 3-0 to D.C. United at RFK Stadium. The Timbers return to action after a weekend off, a five-game winless stretch of their own snapped in their last outing, a 3-1 win against the San Jose Earthquakes on April 16 at Providence Park.
