Bob Bradley is at it again.
After successful stints in Egypt and Norway, the former US national team head coach is now trying to lead French second-tier club Le Havre back into Ligue 1 for the first time in eight years.
With six games left in the season and Le Havre currently in third place -- which would be good enough for a promotion -- Bradley sat down with ESPN FC for a wide-ranging interview about his experience in France since he was hired last November.
Of note, Bradley admitted that joining a new club in the middle of the season presented a unique set of challenges that made it important for him to first “listen” and “observe” before sinking his teeth into the team.
He also made clear that he’s “never expressed frustration” about not getting bigger jobs in Europe despite his impressive resume and that there’s “a good feeling” right now surrounding Le Havre, which is currently riding a hot streak.
And, perhaps, not surprisingly, he and his family are diving right into the community and turning France into their home.
“We live right in Le Havre, which for us is very important,” Bradley told ESPN FC. “In Egypt, we lived in Cairo because we felt to have any chance for success you had to understand the culture and be connected. And here it’s the same.”
