A special, one-off edition held to commemorate the 100th anniversary of CONMEBOL's tournament, the Copa America Centenario will be contested by 10 South American nations and six North American countries.

The tournament will begin on June 3, when the US national team faces Colombia in the group stage at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The Americans and Colombians were drawn into Group A along with Costa Rica and Paraguay. The top two finishers from each of the four groups will advance to the quarterfinal stage, which is set to begin on June 16.
