Canada unveil new #CanadaRED jerseys ahead of huge Mexico qualifier

New 2016 Canada jersey

Canada’s World Cup qualifier against Mexico on Friday night is going to be rocking, with a crowd of more than 50,000 expected for the huge match at BC Place in Vancouver (10 pm ET; TSN in Canada, UniMas in the US).

Regardless of how the critical qualifier plays out, Canada will be looking very fresh, as the Canadian federation and Umbro unveiled a bold new #CanadaRED home kit earlier this week.

The jersey features an asymmetrical design that incorporates a graphic fade from white to red underneath the Canada Soccer crest, which is located above the heart. There is a Canada flag underneath the neckline, while the Canadian sound wave – representing the country’s national anthem, inspired by Canadian supporters – is stitched inside the neckline.

The shirt also features Canada Soccer’s distinct “Les Rouges” font for lettering and numbering.
