The Colorado Rapids face Japanese side FC Tokyo in Group C of the 2016 Generation adidas Cup Premier Division on Sunday, March 20 at 1 pm ET from Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.
Both clubs find themselves at the top of Group C after the opening day of group matches on Friday. The Rapids and FC Tokyo were winners of penalty-kick shootouts in their first matches against the Philadelphia Union and UNAM Pumas, respectively.
The top team in each of the four Premier Division groups will advance to the semifinals on Thursday, March 24.
The Generation adidas Cup is MLS's annual elite youth tournament for U-17 academy teams. The tournament focuses on player development and showcases the best teams in the country and the future stars of MLS.
