The first California Clasico matchup of the season is set to kick off on Saturday between the San Jose Earthquakes and LA Galaxy (10:30 pm ET; MLS LIVE). The rivalry has seen a lot of ebbs and flows over the years including some memorable games and fantastic finishes.
Many goals have been scored in the 60 games between the two teams, 176 in all, and there are some all-time great MLS players at the top of the goal-scoring charts in the rivalry. One name that tops the charts for both teams is the all-time leading goalscorer in MLS history, Landon Donovan. He scored eight goals for the Galaxy against the Quakes, most by any Galaxy player, and four goals for San Jose against LA.
