The US national team appears to be close to finalizing a second pre-Copa América Centenario tune-up match, with Sports Illustrated’s Grant Wahl reporting on Tuesday that the USMNT is poised to meet Ecuador in a friendly on May 25 at FC Dallas’ Toyota Stadium.

Reports emerged last week that the US would play Bolivia in a friendly on May 28 at Sporting Kansas City’s Children’s Mercy Park. Both Ecuador and Bolivia will also be preparing for the Copa América, which the US will kick off on June 3 against Colombia at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Wahl reported on Tuesday that contracts for the two friendlies aren’t yet 100 percent complete, but that both are expected to be officially confirmed soon with no official word from US Soccer just yet.

The US was drawn into Group A for the Copa América Centenario with Colombia, Costa Rica and Paraguay. Ecuador, who is a perfect 4-0-0 in CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying, was slotted into Group B with Brazil, Haiti and Peru. Bolivia was drawn into Group D of the one-off tournament with Argentina, Chile and Panama.
