Club América's Rubens Sambueza to miss Wednesday's CCL second leg vs. Seattle Sounders

Club América must do without one of their most important players for the second leg of their CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal series against the Seattle Sounders, as midfielder Rubens Sambueza will miss Wednesday’s match in Mexico City after dislocating his shoulder over the weekend.

Sambueza left América’s 4-1 home loss to Tigres on Saturday night in the 86th minute due to the injury, which is expected to keep him out for two to three weeks. The 32-year-old Argentine has three goals and one assist in seven games this Liga MX season. He assisted on both of América’s goals in last week’s CCL quarterfinal first leg 2-2 draw in Seattle.

The Sounders and América will play the second leg on Wednesday night at Estadio Azteca (8 pm ET, FS2).
