CONCACAF Champions League: Fans pick LA Galaxy, DC United to move to CCL semifinals

The CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals get underway on Tuesday, and the early results of MLSsoccer.com’s CCL Fan Pick ‘Em are in.

As of this writing, two MLS teams – D.C. United and the LA Galaxy – have been picked to advance to the CCL semifinals. United hold the most commanding lead, grabbing 70 percent of the vote to Queretaro’s 30 percent. LA aren’t far behind, clocking in with 64-36 advantage over Santos Laguna.

Alas, there wasn’t as much support for Real Salt Lake or the Seattle Sounders. The Sounders currently trail Club América in the fan voting 36 percent to 64 percent, while RSL trail Tigres by a 47-53 margin.

D.C. and Seattle will open their quarterfinals series on Tuesday night at Queretaro and home against América, respectively. RSL and LA will get things going on Wednesday, with RSL playing at Tigres and the Galaxy hosting Santos Laguna. The series' second legs will be played next Tuesday and Wednesday, March 1 and 2.
