American Outlaws to rally in Austin in May ahead of US national team's hectic summer

The American Outlaws are gearing up for a big year ahead, and will help their members get ready with a rally in May in Austin, Texas.

The US national team supporters group have announced an organizational rally, to be held May 6-8 at the JW Marriott in downtown Austin. Coming in a year when the US will host the Copa America Centenario and participate in World Cup qualifiers, the rally will include sessions on the AO organization, gameday experiences and US youth development, as well as a panel discussion featuring former US players. Social outings include a footgolf tournament.

The event will feature a variety of guest speakers, including current US U-20 national team head coach Tab Ramos, former USMNT player and current media personality Jimmy Conrad and journalist Grant Wahl. It's intended "to energize all of our members to help grow American Outlaws and U.S. Soccer," according to the rally's website.

The Austin gathering will be the second such event for the American Outlaws, following 2011's event in Las Vegas.
