Columbus Crew SC announced Thursday they've signed first-round SuperDraft selection Rodrigo Saravia, a midfielder, to an MLS contract.
Saravia, 22, was selected No. 19 overall out of Florida Gulf Coast University. The 2015 Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Year, Saravia has trained with the Guatemala national team and played for the country’s U-23 and U-20 sides. He will occupy an international slot on Crew SC's roster.
