Seattle Sounders captain Brad Evans, defender Michael Orozco released from USMNT camp

Brad Evans in action for the USMNT

The two players who manned the right back spot for the US national team in Sunday's win against Iceland won't have the opportunity to do so again this week.

US Soccer announced on Tuesday morning that head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has released Seattle Sounders defender Brad Evans and Club Tijuana defender Michael Orozco from the US's camp in Carson, California, and sent them back to their clubs. Evans experienced hamstring tightness in Sunday's 3-2 comeback win over Iceland and is being sent to the Sounders as a precaution. Per an agreement with Tijuana, Orozco, who, like Evans, was a late roster addition, was only scheduled to play in Sunday's friendly before returning to Mexico.

Evans and Orozco both started Sunday's match, with Evans beginning the game at right back and Orozco starting in the middle of the back line. Evans lasted only until halftime before he was taken off due to his hamstring issue, with Orozco sliding over from center back to replace him. Orozco scored to tie the game at 2-2 in the 59th minute.

Klinsmann's squad now stands at 24 players ahead of Friday's meeting with Canada.

Here is the current US roster:
