Another veteran European player is making eyes at MLS, with Real Betis defender Heiko Westermann telling a German outlet on Wednesday that he’d like to move to the States before he retires.

The 32-year-old Westermann moved to Real Betis last summer after his contract expired with Bundesliga club Hamburger SV. The former German international said he plans on staying at Betis for some time still, but told German news agency Sport-Informations-Dienst that he “would really like to go to the United States for one year.”

Westermann, who has 27 caps with Germany, has played 10 La Liga matches for Betis this year. He spent four seasons at German club Schalke before moving to Hamburg in 2010, eventually leaving the club for Betis in part due to feeling like he’d become a divisive figure among the club’s fans.

Nicknamed HW4 by Hamburg fans, Westerrmann released a rap song titled “I am HW4” in 2014. We’ll see if any MLS teams have interest in the aging left back when he’s ready to cross the pond after finishing up with Betis.
