Report: Vancouver Whitecaps, Canadian international Fraser Aird in talks over possible loan move

Fraser Aird - Rangers

Fraser Aird could be close to a move back to Canada, with reports coming out of Scotland that the Rangers defender is in talks with the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Scottish Sun reporter Kenny Millar reported the possible loan move for the 20-year-old, who made his Canada national team debut last fall.

Aird, a Toronto native, has been with Rangers since joining their academy in 2011 but has seen sparse playing time this season, with just four appearances across all competitions and no Scottish Championship league starts.

The Whitecaps are on the lookout for help at right back after the departure of starter Steven Beitashour to Toronto FC. The Province'sMarc Weber reports that Whitecaps FC2 fullback Chris Serban is also being considered for the spot.
