Eleven MLS academy players named to US U-17 national team Aegean Cup camp

MLS academies will be well represented at the US national team’s U-17 Residency Program camp for Aegean Cup 2016.


Eleven players linked to MLS teams were selected among the 32 invited to head coach John Hackworth’s 2016 Spring Semester camp. This is the first roster named by Hackworth as new U-17 head coach.



For 10 days starting this week, the U-17s head to Turkey to compete in the Aegean Cup, their first international tournament of the new year.


The U-17 Residency roster introduces all new players to the program, with 29 players currently registered with Development Academy clubs. This group of U-17 players will also compete in the CONCACAF U-17 Championship in hopes of earning a spot in the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in India.
