The US national team announced on Friday four additions to the January training camp roster.
Head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has called up San Jose Earthquakes goalkeeper David Bingham, D.C. United defender Steve Birnbaum, MLS prospect Brandon Vincent and midfielder Perry Kitchen, who most recently played for D.C. United, for the training camp, to be held in Carson, California beginning on Monday.
U.S. Soccer also announced Bingham's San Jose teammates Fatai Alashe (groin) and Marc Pelosi (tendinitis) have withdrawn from the camp roster.
The camp, which runs from Jan. 11-Feb. 6 and contains a mix of senior team members and players age-eligible for the U-23 national team, will culminate with friendlies against Iceland on Jan. 31 and Canada on Feb. 5. Both matches will be played at StubHub Center.
Birnbaum and Kitchen both made their USMNT debut during last year's January camp. Birnbaum started in the USA's 3-2 loss against sixth-ranked Chile, while Kitchen contributed to the 2-0 win against Panama.
This will be the first senior team camp for Bingham and Vincent. The 26-year-old Bingham played every minute in goal for San Jose in the 2015 season. Having participated in the US Under-23 College Identification Training Camp in August last year, Vincent joins fellow former Stanford Cardinal and NCAA champion Jordan Morris in with the senior team.
