A trio of New York City FC players are headed across the pond to join sister club Manchester City for a quick training stint.

Reported in the Asbury Park Press in a profile on former Monmouth University star RJ Allen, the defender will join midfielders Thomas McNamara and Kwadwo Poku on a 10-day stint starting Wednesday at the Premier League club’s state-of-the-art facilities. All three players are looking to build on their emerging MLS careers.

Allen made 14 appearances for NYCFC in 2015, his first season in MLS, recording two assists. McNamara scored five goals and recorded three assists in 19 appearances for City this past season, his second in the league. And Poku burst onto the scene in his rookie season, scoring four goals and recording seven assists.

New York City FC will kick off their second season in the league March 6 at the Chicago Fire.
